1. The fact that there are 143 million children without a parent to kiss them goodnight has made you lose sleep.
2. You realize DNA has nothing to do with love & family.
3. You can't watch Adoption Stories on TLC without sobbing.
4. You spend free time surfing blogs about families who've experienced the blessing of adoption.
5. It drives you crazy when people ask you about adopted child's "real" parents.
6. You've been "pregnant" with your adoptive child longer than it takes an elephant to give birth.(2 years!)
7. You'd no idea how you'd afford to adopt, but stepped out in faith anyway, knowing He'd provide. (& He does!)
8. You've taken an airplane half-way around the world with a child you just met.
9. You believe God's heart's for adoption.
10. You realize that welcoming a child into your heart & family is one of the most important legacies you could ever leave on this earth.
11. You know what the word "Dossier" means & you can actually pronounce it correctly!
12. You've welcomed a social worker into the most private parts of your life.
13. You shudder when people say your child's so lucky that you adopted them, knowing full well you're the blessed one to have him or her in your life.

GREAT list - #6 cracked me up. Our adoption only took about as long as a human pregnancy, but it felt like it took that long because of all the research and prayer and thought that went into it before we started the whole thing!
Thanks for the comment at my place today! Blessings!
I LOVED THIS list. We looked into adoption before getting pregnant, so I must say this really hit home.
This is beautiful. :)
143 million?!?
i'm not a parent, but that's enough to make me sick.
Hi! I found you on Biblical Womanhood, the post about Mother's Day. Hope you don't mind my dropping in! I am an adoptive mom who spends her spare time blog hopping to find other adoptive families! :o)
I like that you celebrate Family Day. I've heard people doing Gotcha Day and not sure how I feel about that? We celebrate with both of ours but, neven been sure what to call it?
Please visit me if you like!
Just dropped by for PSF...and ended up staying for awhile. For this list I say...AMEN!
You are blessed!
Hi!
I found you thru TammysRecipes.com and love this list. My husband and I are almost to the "waiting phase" of our adoption after 4+ years of praying, infertility treatments, researching, etc., we are contracted with a private agency for a domestic adoption. Our homestudy is this weekend!
