My compost bowl. Rachel Ray has a "garbage bowl" that is sold for $7-$17. This bowl is just a fancy name for a bowl to hold scraps while you are cooking. I re-invented this concept with my $1 lidded bowl from the Dollar Tree. I fill it with my coffee grounds, veggie garbage, and leafy scraps. When it gets full I bring it out to the compost bin.
Ding! Problems solved.

It's all you need and the price can't be beat!

I laughed when I saw that Rachael Ray was really selling her bowls for so much money. It's just a bowl! When I'm cooking I just grab a plastic bowl and use that.
Our 'compost caddy' is an old ice-cream tub!
How about an old, gallon sized, ice cream bucket with a lid under your sink?
Oh.. yes, ditto to working mum! lol
Hmm . . now if only I actually cooked anything I'd have something to fill it with . . . .
I use a ice cream pail.
If you think RR selling her bowl is something go to an acution. They sell them bowls for over $50. I have one from my grandma.
Great Idea! Oh I just need to cook more!
I have a bucket that has a lid and it's the worse thing ever for kitchen compost. I think I'm going to get one of those.
what a great idea!
oooh, you now must talk about your compost bin. I need details.
I have been reading all about composts online... I think I should start one up.
I am.
Thanks for the idea. I might try it!
Great Tip!
