I have a question for the blogosphere... does anyone know how I can post some links to pdf files? I have some custom made materials that I'd love to share, but am not sure how to do that for free. Advice?

You can upload them to google docs and share it that way.
I second what Deb says. Just upload the PDF to your docs, then in the sharing settings, change it from Private to "Anyone with the link." You then will see the link, copy/paste to your blog!
